When was the track built?

One of many historic complex of South Africa, it was featuring a dragstrip, a circuit, a dirt oval and track.
Thanks to the complete refurbishment, designed by me, the new GP circuit will use the whole lot, taking parts of the original circuit and oval.
A massive investment also sustained to improve facilities and to make it ready for Formula 1 since 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

Although it has been a famous circuit in Africa, it has never hosted a Formula One race.
It will be included in the database for both Continental and World title races.

What’s the circuit like?

Extremely technical and smooth, with a very equilibrated flow throughout the 18 corners.
A great mix of turns makes the set-up very challenging; particularly the double apex Turn 4-5 and the sequence T7-T9, with the steering angle constantly changing through it, are really insidious for drivers.
The long main straight offers surely the best overtake opportunities in front of a massive stands that will be filled by fans.

Where is it located?

South of Johannesburg, near the town of Riversdale, in the heart of the country, served by its International airport. (- 26°36’49”, + 28°03’34”)
