Seafront Circuit – Agadir

Circuit: Fictitious
Layout: Fictitious (designed by me) – © 2020 AllAlongTheRacetrack

When was the track built?

Agadir hosted various motorsport events in at least three different road circuits in the 1950s, but never a F1 event.
The same area used in 1952 and 1953 has been considered ideal for the new semi permanent track, designed by me.
It will use some of the original streets with a new permanent circuit and pit buildings that will be ready for 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

The return of Morocco in F1 will begin in 2023; this new track will alternate with the other two for the country to host Continental and World title races.

What’s the circuit like?

The short and fast circuit offers many points of interest: being placed on an hillside it has 40m elevation change between the highest and lowest point.
A V-shaped double straight, with pits going below the main one, lead to turn 2,3 and 4, which all have multiple apexes; hairpin 5 brings cars on the streets of Agadir, used also in the original 1952 track.
Finally, a massive climb after turn 9 to reach the final double chicane makes this circuit extremely interesting.

Where is it located?

Near the city marina, north of the city centre, close to the Seafront Promenade; it’s served by its airport (+ 30°25’32”, – 9°36’44”)
