When was the track built?
The commercial area along the Nile bank offered a great opportunity for this unique circuit, designed by me.
Although it’s classified as street circuit, all its facilities and 18 corners are permanent, while only a few are using public roads.
The circuit will be ready for the launch of the new F1 organization in 2023.
When was its first Grand Prix?
This will be the first ever F1 GP held in Sudan. The new circuit will be ready to host a Continental series race in 2023.
What’s the circuit like?
The first characteristic that hits the eyes is the “figure 8” layout thanks to the intersection of the bridge of Army Road and the 52nd street.
But this circuit is much more: after the main straight that uses public roads, it turns into a twisted sequence of 18 curves, which will push drivers and cars to their limits to achieve the perfect lap time.
Then again on the streets of Khartoum for Sector 3, with more 90° corners and overtake chances thanks to their size.
Where is it located?
On the bank of the river Nile, nearby Khartoum bus and train station, football stadium and close to its airport (15°35’42.8″N; 32°30’51.2″E)
