When was the track built?
It was South Korea’s first permanent racing circuit and it has been used for various important motorsport events thanks also to its location, close to Everland theme park.
The Samsung-owned facility has been modified and updated several times since its opening in 1995, but it was over throned by the new two circuits.
Thanks to the new F1 organization, it will have a new life.
When was its first Grand Prix?
The circuit will be rotate with other two in this country to host a GP, that will be the first one in this venue.
What’s the circuit like?
Characterized by its 8-figure design, similar to Suzuka, it’s a vert windy and technical circuit, although there are at least two clear overtake areas at turn 1 and turn 7/8.
Traction and car balance will guarantee success around here.
Where is it located?
At Yongin, with Gimpo International Airport is the closest, around an hour away (+ 37°17’47”, +127°12’28”)
