When was the track built?

Designed by Wilson Sahara Motorsports (also Miller Motorsport Park in the USA), it features significant elevation changes and several challenging corners, set amongst breathtaking scenery, being set high in the mountains of South Korea.
Opened in 2013 it has a 20,000 seat grandstand, while the hotel and condominium block are located on the outside of turn 4.
It hasn’t been used a lot, but it is definitely ready for F1 in 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

The circuit will be rotate with other two in this country to host a GP, that will be the first one in this venue.

What’s the circuit like?

A very technical layout, starting from the triple apex turn 1-2-3 immediately after the finish line.
It has a rich mix of fast and slow corners of various radius, including hairpins, which makes the track interesting and fun for drivers but tricky when it comes to picking the best car set-up.
On top of that a 12-degree ascent and 9-degree descent, with an elevation difference of 40m, will generate and grand spectacle for sure.

Where is it located?

In the Kangwon-do region of South Korea, approximately 100 miles north east of Seoul and its airport. (+ 38°00’05”, +128°17’31”)
