Paradise Island Circuit – Nassau

When was the track built?

Bahamas has hosted since the 1950s the Nassau Speed Week, on various street courses through the city of Nassau.
Thanks to the new Formula One Organization the rich motorsport heritage of the Island will be finally rewarded with a F1 event.
The circuit, designed by me, in the beautiful location of Paradise Island, surrounded by resorts, marinas and beaches, features permanent pit facilities, and will become surely one of the most fashionable events in the calendar.

When was its first Grand Prix?

The new circuit will be ready for the new F1 in 2023 and will host the first ever GP in the country.

What’s the circuit like?

The track can be split into three different parts: the final one, from turn 14 to 1, a stadium-like section around the paddock and through the marinas of the isle, the central one, with the two 600 meters bridges over the ocean, and then the more typical street-course from turn 2 to 13, with a couple of chicanes and mainly 90° corners.
An interesting mix, although expectation is that teams will favour traction and high downforce versus top speed.

Where is it located?

In the north part of the Capital, half on the resort isle “Paradise Island” and half on the main one, crossing two bridges. (25.075325; -77.326150)
