When was the track built?
It has been built in 2006, being focused mainly on testing of both civil and competition cars, prototypes and motorbikes.
A complex with 26 variants, 12 layout combination, it has peaked by hosting a Formula E event.
Starting from 2023 it will be in the rotation for Spain, thanks to its most challenging configuration.
When was its first Grand Prix?
It will host the first ever Formula 1 GP in 2023.
It is one of the eight Spanish circuit that will rotate for spots in the European and World Title series.
What’s the circuit like?
The sixth variant (Variante 6) of the Monteblanco circuit will be used for Formula 1; it is a very complete track, with three very distinct sectors: the first one is very fast and mainly straight.
The second one is more technical, with fast and long corners at the beginning and slower ones at the end, where overtaking will be extremely difficult; the final one is again more rectilinear.
It adds also some light elevation changes and a nearly 1km main straight.
Where is it located?
In La Palma Del Condado, few kilometers west of Huelva, in direction of Sevilla and its airport. (+ 37°21’41”, – 6°34’25”)
