When was the track built?

The first 3.5km version of the Misano circuit, called at the time Autodromo di Santamonica, was built and inaugurated in 1972.
It has hosted immediately some prestigious categories, like F2 and F3, but it was starting from the late 80s, thanks to motorcycle racing, that it became worldwide recognized.
With that circuit extensions also came, with the most important one being completed in 2007, affecting not only the layout but all facilities, including pit and stands.
The new Formula One will come here for the first time from 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever F1 even in this venue.
It is one of the seven Italian circuit that will rotate in European Continental Series and World Title.

What’s the circuit like?

It is a fast circuit all-around, with the most famous section being the long straight with three bends that drivers do in full throttle.
Most of turn are sweeping, high-speed, suitable for both cars and motorbikes.
Overtaking and wheel-to-wheel action never lacking in here.

Where is it located?

In Misano Adriatico, on the Romagna coastline, close to San Marino and south of Bologna, which is also the nearest major airport. (+ 43°57’43”, + 12°41’02”)
