When was the track built?

It was announced in 2011 as a project to develop 830 acres of land into a top-level circuit, focused more on motorbikes racing, with on-site hotel, luxury villas, race academy and training facilities to boost tourism and economy of the area.
It has been blocked various times for different reasons and started going into financial issues for both public and private investors until it was completely cancelled in 2019.
The 3 layouts make it suitable for any kind of racing, including one dedicated to track days and corporate events.
With the new F1 organization taking over and its better conditions for circuits, it will resume and be completed to join the Welsh circuit portfolio.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever GP in this country.
It’s one of the three Welsh circuit to rotate for a spot in the European Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

Designed originally to get the MotoGP racing, it is characterized mainly by long fast corners and enriched by constant elevation changes that follow the natural hilly terrain.
It has some traits of Assen and others of the Mugello, which will surely provide great feeling for drivers and entertaining races.
The downhill ultra-fast T11-12 is probably the highlight of the circuit.
Overtaking will be possible in several spots, while the usually unpredictable weather could also play a part.

Where is it located?

At Rassau, in South Wales, around 40km north of the capital Cardiff. (+ 51°48’27”, – 3°14’29”)
