Saint Helier Street Circuit – Saint Helier

Circuit: Fictitious
Layout: Fictitious (designed by me) – © 2021 AllAlongTheRacetrack

When was the track built?

Another hidden location rich in motorsport history and another immense and magnificent project for the new F1 organization, to give new life to iconic places and bring the sport to as many locations as possible.
The streets of Saint Helier have been used in the 40s and 50s for non-titled F1 GPs in a simple 6-turns 5.2km course.
The main straight and the back straight will be part of the racetrack again, but the new circuit, designed by me, will go through the city for 7.7km.
Temporary stands, pits and paddock facilities will be placed in the lower park area and Victoria Avenue.
It will be added to the rotation from 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race on this racetrack.
It’s one of the seven circuits to rotate for two spots in the European Continental Series and one in the World Title F1.

What’s the circuit like?

Another circuit that will become an instant classic: it has it all.
A nearly 2km long full-throttle section after turn 22, similar to the Baku one, followed by a more typical sequence of corners between the houses.
After the tunnel that bring cars on the other side of the hill, there is an old-fashion coastal road, leading to turn 17-18-19, reminding of the Mirabeau-Fairmont-Portier trio in Monaco.
Extremely slow corners, very high top-speeds and maximum precision required.

Where is it located? On the streets of Saint Helier, on Jersey, one of the Channel Islands.
The local airport, connected to the main British ones, is around 7km away. (49°11’24.1″N, 2°07’16.0″W)
