The Final Nail In The Coffin

The once upon a time legendary sport has been killed by incompetent and greedy millionaires and billionaires, with no passion and no interest for the history and the fans of one of the sports with the longest heritage.

The point of today is not really whether the conditions were safe enough or not to actually have a race; the bottom line here is that we have a F1 Management who babbles about safety, values and rights but constantly rules and acts against them.

In order to have safest Grand Prix, abolishing the parc fermè and allowing set-up changes is the most important rule that should be done; instead, in the name of cost-savings (never really achieved) drivers has to pick on Friday the car settings for the weekend, often having to compromise especially when the weather is unpredictable like in Spa this weekend.
So we have to hear for five hours drivers, team managers and those incompetent bureaucrats that run the show simply saying “these cars can’t go on a wet track, they’re not designed for it” with the support of the colluded media, and no one thinks for a second how stupid such a statement is when talking about Formula 1, the top motorsport series.

On top of that, can you think to a company where you can manage an event or a situation like Michael Masi did today, and not being fired?
It was raining since the morning, with other races completed with no issues.
Few seconds before the formation lap, a ridiculous game of delaying the start every 5 minutes started until it was too late; but, instead of calling it a cancelled race, he arranged 2 laps behind the Safety Car to comply with the minimum race requirement, cheating the passionate fans on the stands, following on TV and creating an advantage for those drivers who have been awarded points, victory and podiums without racing.

None of the above has been done in the name of safety, despite they’re constantly lying about this; how can be safer to race at 250km/h average in Saudi Arabia, between the rails?
How can new circuits be added to the calendar, with a quick Grade 1 approval, if they were not deemed safe last year, before Covid force them to find new locations?
And again, those puppets in the paddock (drivers and team members included) are silent.

These cars are designed to go as fast as possible on corners only if the track is perfectly flat, dry and only in the ideal line; few millimeters off and even the best driver has no chance to control it.
It is simply unacceptable.

They all have to quit, from Domenicali to Masi, Todt to Brawn… they all failed, lowering the standard day after day, without even understanding it.
