Auto24ring – Pärnu

Circuit: Existing
Layout: Fictitious (designed by me) – © 2021 AllAlongTheRacetrack

When was the track built?

Also known as Audru Ring or Pärnu Ring, it is the only permanent circuit in Estonia, built in its modern configuration in 2001 and finalized in 2012.
Its history is much longer, as the streets in this area were used from the 1930s for a 6km road course, reduced to 3.6 at the end of the last century.
A hybrid version, mixing parts of the existing permanent track and roads also used in the past, designed by me, will be added to the circuit database to host F1 GPs from 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race on this circuit.
It will rotate with Pirita Circuit for a spot in the F1 European Series, the maiden GP in history in this country.

What’s the circuit like?

It mixes the slow and twisty section, from turn 15 to turn 6, that is the existing permanent circuit, with the high-speed stop-and-go part, which is the old-style road course extension, with four straights followed by chicanes, similarly to what happens in Montreal.
This will require a trade-off in terms of car settings; plenty of wheel-to-wheel action expected.

Where is it located?

Near to Pärnu, in western Estonia; the city has its own airport, mainly used for private flights; the capital is around two hours away. (+ 58°24’02”, + 24°27’12”)
