Eilat Marina Circuit – Eilat

Circuit: Fictitious

When was the track built?

In one of the most famous touristic locations of the area, with a fast growing marina and luxury new buildings, connected with the rest of the country and the World with a high-speed railway, a new airport.
The lot of the old airport and the streets of the spectacular new marina have been chosen to host the first ever Israeli GP.
The circuit, designed by me, will fit perfectly the plans branding Eilat as an international sports city.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever GP in this country.
It will have a secured spot in the F1 Middle East Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

Nothing like the word unique fits this track better; roughly half of its length is inside the former city airport; it’s permanent, extremely fast and has no traits of a street circuits.
Particularly interesting the Spoon-like turn 5.
Then it goes into the streets of Eilat, with a 1.2km long straight connecting the exit of turn 5 and the access to the marina area, which is a bit twistier but still offers plenty of braking zones where overtaking will be possible.
Set-ups will be similar to Monza, and it will be interesting to see cars with almost flat wings driving through the final sector, very close to the barriers.

Where is it located?

In the most southern point of Israel, few kilometres from both Saudi and Egyptian borders, served by a new airport. (29°33’21.6″N 34°57’25.0″E)
