When was the track built?

Turkmenistan will also have a slot in the Formula One Middle East series calendar, thanks to a private-state mixed investment to build the first ever permanent circuit in the country.
It is scheduled to be completed by 2023 in a large area just north of the Capital airport.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race in this country.
It will have a secured spot in the F1 Middle East Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

Packed with fast sweeping corners, it will favor drivers that will be able to find rhythm and precision at high-speed through the flow of curves, especially from turn 1 to 10.
Particularly interesting the deceleration in the twisty double hairpin 4-5, and the double-apex final corners, where drivers will need to measure carefully the throttle to have a good exit speed and not hitting the wall.
Set-ups will be focused on balance, medium downforce.

Where is it located?

In the northern suburbs of the capital, close to the reservoir and lake of Gurtly Suwhowdany, and around ten minutes from its airport. (38°03’25.1″N, 58°22’48.0″E)
