When was the track built?

Las Vegas has been a target destination for Formula 1 since the 1980s, when two titled races were held in front of the Caesars Palace, but due to the poor condition of the asphalt and the low public attendance there has been no sequel, although rumors of a comeback have been more frequent in the last years.
With the financial benefits of hosting a race given by the new F1 Organization, the “Sin City” will be back in a calendar with a spectacular racetrack, designed by me, in pure Vegas style.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race on this circuit, but not in the city of Las Vegas, that hosted two USA GPs in 1981 and 1982 in the Caesars Palace parking lot; the first one, final race of the 1981 season, won by Alan Jones on Williams-Ford, who came one point short from winning the title, secured by Nelson Piquet and his Brabham-Ford, who finished fifth; Alain Prost on Renault and Bruno Giacomelli on Alfa Romeo completed the podium.
It is one of the eight circuits in the West coast of the United States, which will rotate for three spots in the Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

A 7.3km extravaganza, with 31 corners, several long straights and at least nine overtaking spots, thanks also to the vast roads of Las Vegas.
It has two underpasses, interesting sections like the fast Turn 19-23, the double fast chicanes T27-29 and the tricky braking zone at Turn 13.
Average speeds are expected to be high and cars to run low-downforce set-ups
The unique temporary pit and paddock facilities are located in the empty space in front of the Luxor.

Where is it located?

In one of the most famous areas of the Planet, the Las Vegas Strip; it starts in front of the Luxor Hotel and Casino and then passes by the Excalibur, Park MGM, MGM Grand, New York, Tropicana, the Allegiant Stadium, the T-Mobile Arena and the Dolby Live Theatre just to name some.
The Harry Reid International Airport is few hundreds metres from the paddock. (+ 36.097516, -115.173081)
