Area 27 Motorsports Park – Oliver

Circuit: Existing
Layout: Fictitious (designed by me)

When was the track built?

Built in 2016, it has served so far as a luxury motorsport club, conceived and designed by Jacques Villeneuve and his partners.
The circuit itself is already compliant with the highest standards and satisfying for the new Formula 1 Organization, which has only asked the implementation of a new pit lane and paddock, and to place temporary stands for the GP.
It will be the first International event in this venue.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race on this circuit.
It is one of the eight Canadian circuits which will rotate for four spots in the Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

Being designed by professional drivers, it’s focused on the emotions and challenges for drivers, with mainly long-radius sweeping curves and high average speeds.
For Formula 1 cars there could be two overtaking spots at the first and the last corners.
Consistency and precision will be the characteristics of a winning driver here.

Where is it located?

At Oliver, in British Columbia, close to the borders with Alberta and the US. Kelowna International airport is the closest one, around 120km to the north, while Vancouver is 400km to the West. (+49.162963, -119.521068)
