Calabogie Motorsports Park – Calabogie

Circuit: Existing
Layout: Actual

When was the track built?

Built in 2006, it’s the longest Canadian permanent circuit.
Designed by Alan Wilson, it has been mainly used by car enthusiasts as a private test facility; the new F1 Organization will look to add it to the Circuit Database from 2023, awaiting an improvement to the pit lane and paddock facilities and a re-pavement of most of the run-off areas.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race on this circuit.
It is one of the eight Canadian circuits which will rotate for four spots in the Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

It has a good mix of all types of corners, with a couple of overtaking spots and tricky elevation changes to make it challenging and interesting for drivers.
Cars will have to be stable and precise as performing solid lap times and making no mistakes are the keys here.
Weather could be variable especially in this forest-like environment.

Where is it located?

In Calabogie, in Eastern Ontario, around an hour and half West of Ottawa and its International airport. (+ 45.301882, -76.673823)
