When was the track built?
Built in 2018, it’s was one of the longest permanent circuits in the world, part of a complex with facilities for drifting, karting and rallycross plus a drag strip, hotels and hiking structures.
With the new F1 Organization the FIA Grade 2 license will be upgraded to the highest one to host one of the Australian GPs from 2023.
When was its first Grand Prix?
It will be the first ever race on this circuit.
It is one of the eight Australian circuits that will feature in the Oceania Continental Series.
What’s the circuit like?
Formula 1 will use the full 7.7km layout, with 35 corners, which is obviously a combination of technical curves, fast flowing sections and a total pf 85 metres of elevation changes.
In the East circuit, from T9 to T29, cars will need medium-high downforce, consistency and precision for the best lap time, while in the West one is where overtaking will be easier, thanks to longer straights and heavy braking corners.
It is one of the most complete circuits in the calendar.

At Elwomple, around 110km East of Adelaide and its International airport. (- 35°17’28”, +139°29’42”)
