Autódromo Velocitta – Mogi-Guaçu

Circuit: Existing
Layout: Actual

When was the track built?

Opened in 2010, it is one of the most modern facilities in the country in terms of facilities and standards.
Conceived originally more as a motorsport resort, it became quickly popular thanks to its challenging layout and attracted motorbike and car racing.
The new Formula One Organization will grant the Grade-1 certification that will bring a GP from 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first Formula 1 GP in this venue.
It is one of the seven Brazilian circuits that will rotate to host the final three rounds of the South American Series and the first round of the World Championship.

What’s the circuit like?

It is a short and technical track, characterized by considerable elevation changes which make the first two faster sectors even more enjoyable for drivers.
The final sector is a flowy sequence of low-speed bends that will force engineers opt for mid-to-high downforce set-ups.
November in the São Paulo region can bring sudden rain showers that can contribute to make the weekend rip-roaring, starting from qualifying where some drivers may be cut due to suit the track length.

Where is it located?

At Mogi-Guaçu in the State of São Paulo in Brasil, around 100km North of Campinas, which has the closest International airport. São Paulo is a further 70km South-East. (- 22°17’20”, – 46°50’50”)
