Viking Motor Park – Enköping

When was the track built?

Started in 1997, then abandoned and amended various times through the years, with the latest version designed by Tom Barnard of International Circuit Designs and reviewed by an American team in 2002, as a complex of a GP circuit, with different configurations, a drag strip and an oval, this project never saw the light unfortunately.
Thanks to the new F1 organization a new funding stream has been found and it has been relaunched in order to be ready to host F1 from 2023.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race on this circuit.
It will rotate with other four circuits in this country for a spot in the F1 European Series.

What’s the circuit like?

The  International Circuit will be 4.3km long and will feature two long straights, parallel to the drag strip, connected by an hairpin, a nice mix of slow and fast corners, providing a good amount of overtaking opportunities.
Entertainment and fans facilities will be among the best in the world.

Where is it located?

in Enköping, around 70km northwest of Stockholm. (+ 59°39’49”, + 17°09’18”).
