When was the track built?
Built in 2014, the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park is located few meters from the factory where the legendary cars are produced.
It is used mainly for private events and tests but thanks to the new design and extension, made by me, and an improvement to the paddock facilities, with temporary stands, built ad-hoc for the GP, Formula 1 will visit Kentucky from 2023 and it will be included in the Circuit Database.
When was its first Grand Prix?
It will be the first ever race in this venue.
It is one of the eight circuits in the Central area of the United States, which will rotate for three spots in the Continental Series.
What’s the circuit like?
The Formula 1 re-design has kept its concept of a fast, flowing racetrack, with almost a continuum of corners from the first to the last, where keeping the rhythm and not making mistakes is critical to not compromise the lap time.
Turn 10 has been moved and made sharper to increase run-off area and allow space for fans; sector 3 is completely new and offers a second good overtaking spot with turn 16, in addition to the main straight.
Where is it located?
At Bowling Green, in the southern part of Kentucky, around an hour north of Nashville and its airport, the closest one despite being in the state of Tennessee. (+ 37.000471, -86.368970)
