When was the track built?

It was opened in 1974, and it was including a short drag strip, a 3.7km road course, and an 800m oval track.
It has unfortunately failed to become an important venue due to financial instability and many ownership change; in 2021 the new owners, the Kalispel Tribe of the Indian Community, have resurfaced the main track, which is still mainly used for drive days.
Thanks to the new Formula 1 Organization the site will be completely redesigned, with a new Grade-1 circuit and a massive upgrade in facilities, all created by me.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race in this venue.
It is one of the eight circuits in the West coast of the United States, which will rotate for three spots in the Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

Sector 1 has kept the concept of the original course, with long-radius, fast and sweeping corners, after a long main straight, that offer several opportunities for overtaking and high average speeds.
Sector 2 is completely new and exploits the hilly terrain to provide more elevation changes through the 9 slow and twisty corners, overarched by three massive stands from which the all section can be seen.
The final sector is again super-fast, with two full-throttle bends that lead to the most spectacular part of the circuit: Turn 18 was one of the banked corners of the formal oval and is connected to the main straight through a triple-apex corner which has a significant banking on the opposite side.
Tyre management will be challenging due to the nature of corners on this very challenging course.
Temperatures are normally chill and rain is frequent.

Where is it located?

At Spokane, on the western side of Washington state, just 5km from the city airport, well connected with all major ones in the country. Seattle is around 450km to the East. (+ 47°39’37”, -117°34’21”)
