Pueblo Motorsports Park – Pueblo

Circuit: Existing
Layout: Fictitious (designed by me) – © 2022 AllAlongTheRacetrack

When was the track built?

The drag strip was opened in 1975, and in the following years the circuit was added and then extended in the 1980s; it hosts mainly private and small events on the circuit, while the focus is on drag racing.
Starting from 2023, when the new layout and building improvements, designed by me, will be completed, it will be able to host all major motorsport events, including Formula 1, which will come here surely for the Continental Series.

When was its first Grand Prix?

It will be the first ever race in this venue.
It is one of the eight circuits in the Central area of the United States, which will rotate for three spots in the Continental Series.

What’s the circuit like?

The main straight corresponds to the 1.15km repaved drag strip and will project cars at 340+ km/h to the first corner.
Sector 2 is the old extension, with mainly long-radius and fast corners up to Turn 10 that connects it to the newly designed one, with more technical and slightly slower curves.
Particularly interesting the double final corner, with a tricky angle, that drivers will have to take on at full speed not to lose momentum on the straight.

Where is it located?

Just West of Pueblo city centre, in the southern part of Colorado, around 20km from its airport, which offers connections to Denver, located 200km to the north. (+ 38°18’23”, -104°40’42”)
